About Studio Noir
Studio Noir opened in Brooklyn in 2014. Founder Mara Ellison moved from newspaper photography into portrait and editorial work, and the studio now covers portraits, weddings, and brand shoots across New York.
Since 2014 the studio has shot 640 sessions and covered 180 weddings. We treat the shoot like reporting: plan the frames, work at a set pace, and hand back files you can print. Portraits come back in 7 days, weddings in 21, every gallery with a print release.
